HOW TO ORDER

The ROLL SCAN CD provides photographers with a low cost, yet high quality disc that includes image files ready to use for web sharing, email, image databases and desktop printing. Files are saved as high quality jpeg format and are approximately 6.5mb when opened. JPEG files are the most common image file today and can be used with any software or imaging system. This is a higher quality alternative to the Picture CD product offered through camera and drug stores.

ROLL SCAN CD scans are easily printed at 8x10" with excellent results. They are also perfect for web sharing and email.

Here are some features of the ROLL SCAN CD:

-Each scan saved as high quality jpeg; ready to use
-Same quality scan as our higher end discs (ARCHIVE, PHOTO CDII and PRO PHOTO CDII) but smaller files
-From 35mm film; color and B&W; negative and slide
-All discs include custom index print wtih thumbnails and filenames

*This is the approximate file size once the JPEG file has been decompressed in your computer. Actual file is 1200 x 1800 pixels and is saved at 72dpi. This file prints at 4x6" at 300dpi. You can also print 5x7 or 8x10 with interpolation. Compressed file sizes vary with subject matter in your image (simple images compress more easily and yield smaller files; more complex files are larger). We use very high quality JPEG compression and the average compression is about 4:1.

OPTIONS
For roll scans from 120 and 220 film, try our Photo CD II disc.
You should also try the Photo CD II disc if you need higher resolution from 35mm.
